Well, Butter My Butt!

NOT EVERYONE HAS A CD PLAYER!

The variety on this album is a bit mind- boggling. The songs and tunes really run the gamut, but Leave the Rain Behind, Butter My Butt and Call Me a Biscuit, and the title track, Your Fool, are examples of what I mean. Leave the Rain behind is an English Country Dance tune (minus the dance); Butter My Butt is jazz, and Your Fool is very "pop". It's not really a surprise, I guess. No one seems to own a CD Player! New cars don't have them - they have USB ports. Many folks have started streaming, or they use their "devices" plugged into speakers to listen to their favorite tunes. In case you miss having one (I know it's a long shot to suggest such a thing!) you go to Target and buy something cheap!

IF YOU PREFER TO STREAM BUT WOULD LIKE LINER NOTES OR LYRICS TO ANY OF MY SONGS, JUST SEND ME AN EMAIL, AND I'LL SEND 'EM YOUR WAY!

HOOT! WAS A HOOT! Many thanks to Joe Christiano for being the HOOT! Maven and for inviting us to teach Harmony Basics a few weeks ago. We had 22 very happy singers, and one (thanks, Joshua!) said:"You two are each warm, gentle, and knowledgeable teachers, and your synergy more than doubles your individual efficacy. It’s a class and a show wrapped in one!”

One very pleasant result was that some of the folks who attended have signed up for Create Your Own Harmonies, so we've achieved our minimum number of folks for maximum benefit to the participants. We
still have room if you're interested (see below). You'll learn three different ways to craft your own harmony (Yes! that means you can place it in the best range for YOUR voice!) Best of all, you'll be able to practice what we teach with other students. The last time we held the workshop, students begged to have the opportunity to do more of that, so we've factored more time for that!

CREATE YOUR OWN HARMONIES Saturday, April 27 from 2 - 4:00pm, Libby McLaren and I will offer our "advanced" workshop at my place in North Berkeley for $75 - with a changed name: Create Your Own Harmonies. (We worry that calling it "advanced" sounds scary and hard, and it's not--it's just fun!)
Email to reserve your seat! Or go to Brown Paper Tickets and pay for your space, now!

WANT ME TO SEND YOU A LARK CAMP BROCHURE? Not sure what the allure of Lark Camp is? Doug Plummer, who is a very fine photographer, came for his first Lark Camp experience in 2018. He made this video about his experience in Camp One, and it beautifully captures what the week is about. This is only one of the three themed camps!
